What can I post on the Community Bulletin Board and how much does it cost?
The Community Bulletin Board is intended for public announcements such as public events, fairs, festivals, official public notices and so on. It is not intended for advertisements or personal postings. Those belong in either the classifieds or the discussion forum.
Postings to the Community Bulletin Board are free and are placed at my sole discretion.

Links are free to businesses based in Lorain County. I am not currently accepting links to businesses located outside Lorain County.

At the bottom of the Pet Memorial page is a link for adding your pet.
What are the rates for placing an ad on the classifieds page?
Ads are free of charge, but are for personal use only. Businesses are not permitted to place ads in the Classifieds section. The only exception to this rule is people who are offering services such as lawn mowing or baby-sitting. If I feel an ad is inappropriate for any reason, I will remove it. Repeated attempts to place an inappropriate ad may result in banning and a complaint filed with your ISP.
Can my business place advertisements on Lorain Ohio.net?

What are the policies covering the discussion forum page?
The forum is intended to be a gathering place for Lorain County residents and nonresidents alike. It is a moderated forum and does not allow excessive profanity, flaming, spamming, advertising, lewdness, or harassment of any kind. Violation of this policy will result in your post being removed and a warning issued. Repeated violation of this policy may result in banning and a complaint filed with your ISP.
Why doesn't the site doesn't display right or allow me to use all the features?
This site makes use of Java and Javascript for many of its features. If you
have these turned off in your browser settings, the site will not work properly.
Go into your browser settings and turn both Java and Javascript on, and the
page should display just fine.
Help! I don't know anything about computers! How did I get here?
Whether you're a first time user, or a long time expert... everyone can use
help now and then. Luckily, there is a local resource to provide all the help
you need! The Lorain County Computer Users Group
is dedicated to helping everyone get more use out of their computer. The great
thing about LCCUG is that it is based upon the idea of users helping users.
This isn't some lecture class with a computer geek who talks down to you. These
are regular folks who figured out how these crazy things work, and are willing
to help others. So, whether you've been surfing the net since you were in grade
school, or you know just enough to be dangerous, visit
their site, attend a free meeting, and maybe even join the club!
